Janey Rolls




Here is the Recipe!
Note: for High Altitude try reducing the amount of flour to 4 C. (that worked for my daughter in Utah)
Yeast Rolls:

4 to 4 1/2 C. Flour
1 package Yeast
1 C. Milk
1/3 C. sugar
1/3 C. Margarine or butter
1 teaspoon Salt
2 eggs

In a large Mixing bowl stir together flour and yeast.
In a 2 C. Microwave container combine Milk, Sugar, Margarine, salt and Microwave on High for 90 Seconds. Add to flour mixture and mix well. Add the eggs, mix adding flour if necessary until you have dough that is smooth and elastic. Shape into ball and place in a greased bowl, Turn once to grease surface, cover, let rise in warm place for about an hour till double.
Punch down. divide dough in half, cover, let rest 10 min. Shape into desired roll shapes. Cover and let rise 30 min to one hour. Bake in 375 Oven for 10 to 12 min until golden brown. Brush with a small amount of butter immediatley!
Makes 2 Dozen

BREADMAKER Instructions:
break the eggs into the breadmaker pan and mix up with a spoon.
Microwave the milk, sugar,butter, salt and add to the eggs in the bottom of the breadmaker pan and mix
add the Flour to the top
Add the Yeast last
Put the breadmaker on DOUGH setting (usually 90 min)
When dough is done cut in half and roll out first half into a large circle and cut like a pie into 12 triangles and roll from flat side down to make Crescent roll shapes.
All 24 can fit on one cookie sheet.
Let rise one hour and bake at 375 for 9 to 11 min to desired doneness.

  2. Thank you!! Notice the picture at the top, they were not out of the oven more than about 5 min before the tray looked like that!
