This recipe is derived from one that Melannie brought home from Jr. High.
In a large pot add:
1 T. Oil
1 med onion diced
2 cloves of garlic crushed
cook till onions are translucent
Add 1/2 lb. ground turkey (or beef or a mixture if preferred)
Cook thoroughly. We do a mixture of ground turkey and lean ground beef.
Add:
1 beef bouillon cube melted in 1/2 cup boiling water
2 t. chili Powder
1 t. Cumin
1/2 t. dried oregano
1/2 t. paprika
1/4 t. ground red pepper (I omit this)
1 lg can crushed tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
( I add one can of white beans and black beans too)
